Heart (aka PartyHearty, Princess-Angel-Puppy) is the Queen Bee, keeping everyone in line. At nearly 13, she was still fast and fabulous and always approached every activity with gusto. She had an amazing presence in the show ring and is hell-bent for leather in agility, she was a quiet and conscientious herding dog and an occasional barker in obedience/rally. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for a piece of steak from Outback and a few things that she wouldn’t do for cheese or liver.
Heart finished her conformation championship in April 2004 by going WB/BOW/1st Award of Merit at the NCBCC regional specialty show under breeder-judge Margaret Harkin. Heart still showed in conformation as a Veteran. A month before her death, she won her last Best in Veteran Sweeps and was Select Bitch from the Veteran class at the 2014 NCBCC Specialty Show. She also won an Award of Merit at the 2013 BCCA National Specialty from the Veterans 12-14 class. Heart racked up 12 Best in Veteran Sweeps awards through her career and 6 Best Veteran Bitch awards, as well as going Best of Opposite Sex from the Veteran Bitch class at the GSBCC 2009 Regional Specialty show.
Sadly Heart passed on 5/24/2014 after a very brief battle with Lymphoma. We are so grateful for all the good days with our PartyGirl, and miss her greatly.
